Meanwhile, the Nigerian University of Technology and Management (NUTM) is a pioneering higher education initiative aimed at identifying and training the next generation of leaders in Africa. As the name implies, it welcomes graduates from different disciplines and trains them in technology, entrepreneurship and design, as well as management and leadership. This is done through a one-year full-time postgraduate program.

Currently, the full fee for NSP class of 2022-23 is USD 8,000 i.e ₦4,800,000.00 (covering tuition, room and meals). About the NUTM Application Program

The NSP program has a four-stage of the application process:

Online Application,
Aptitude Test,
Phone Interview and
Final Interview

NUTM Scholarship Program Requirements

A valid bachelor’s degree in any discipline is required.
You must be under 35 at the time of application.

1) Online Application:

Like most applications, you will be required to submit your application online. Please note that the application is free and we strongly advise that you become acquainted with the requisite information needed. Please save your application as you go.

Below are examples of required documents that you may need to upload during your application;

Bio-data Information: This includes personal details of the applicant, as well as reference information. They may include Name, Gender, Marital Status, Age, Address, Nationality, etc.

Educational Background: You will need to state your highest educational qualification to determine whether you are a good fit for the scholar’s program. The minimum qualification is a Bachelor’s degree from any reputable university and accredited course of study. Other details may include academic qualification, upload of academic certificates and transcripts, etc)

Note: For Nigerian applicants, NYSC completion or proof of certificate is not a requisite.

Documents to upload:(Essays, Academic Transcripts, Reference Letters, etc.)

Approach to the Essays: Please make use of the following resources to finetune your approach using the STAR technique.

Video creation: You may be required to create a video to support your application. This will mostly cover your statement of purpose for your answers to one of the essay questions. Overall, the reviewing committee is testing for your authenticity, substance, and comportment. You can decide to upload the video to Youtube or share it via your google drive. Please ensure to meet the requirement for all video submissions if applicable.

2) Online Aptitude Test

Applicants that pass the online application are invited for the aptitude test.
The test can be taken within a time frame. You are allowed to pick a day and time that is comfortable for you within the given time frame (mostly a week).
The assessment can be taken on a laptop, or desktop.
The assessment is for 60 minutes and is divided into three sections: Work behaviour, Education, and Abstract Reasoning.

3) Phone Interview

The telephone interview is to find out that you are who you claimed to be. In this stage, you need to introduce yourself properly. It’s geared to determine:

Are you suitable for the program?
Your ability to speak good English and pay attention to details.
Can you think critically?

4) Final Interview

This is the stage of Truth.

At this stage, you will be assessed on:

Your Aptitude – What drives and motivates you?
Your Integrity – What are your core values? What do you live for?
Leadership Potential – What are you doing currently to solve Nigeria’s problem? What impact have you created or what’s your plan to create one? In what way have you led before? What values are most important to you as a leader?
