Are you a BUK aspirant nervous about your admission status?
Perhaps you live far from the school or even Kano State and can’t afford to go there physically to check the admission list.
Guess what?
You can check your admission status from the comfort of your home through the Bayero University Admission Checker!
This post shows you how to check your admission status through the Bayero University Kano online portal.
The Stress-Free Way to Check your Bayero University Kano (BUK) Admission Status Online
Many students were taken by surprise when BUK began releasing admissions without conducting Post UTME in 2023. This is while successful JAMB UTME Candidates had uploaded their SSCE results and other necessary documents in the BUKAT (BUK Aptitude Test) portal.
You might be one of the lucky admitted candidates!
Check your BUK Admission Status by following the steps below:
- Click on the BUKAT portal link.
- Insert your 14-digit UTME number and UTME score
- After successfully logging in, you can see whether you have been admitted. Note that the courses of some aspirants had been changed due to some factors, and they are required to complete further steps to avoid losing the admission entirely.
- You can check your BUK admission status on both mobile and desktop devices.
What to do if You’re Admitted to a Different Course in Bayero University, Kano.
There are various reasons that could make you get admitted into a different course. Some of them are:
- Applying to a very competitive course
- Low UTME (and/or Post UTME) score
- Limited admission slots
- Unfulfilled admission requirements
To avoid the above, you should try your best to select the best course of study according to your interests and capabilities. You don’t have to feel as if you’re studying the wrong course. In many cases, though, when the desirable is not available, you can make the available desirable!
The following are the steps you should take if you get admitted into a different program from what you applied in BUK:
- Accept the offered course and liaise with JAMB to change it within the week.
- Update your JAMB profile with your O’ Level details (SSCE result, etc.)
- Submit evidence of Change of Programme to the Directorate of Examinations, Admissions and Records (located at BUK New Site).
Only students who complete the above steps would be granted full admission status if their courses are changed by BUK!
About Bayero University, Kano
Bayero University is the first University established in the economic city of Kano, in Northwestern Nigeria.
