Furthermore, being in close relations with colleagues, course mates, course representatives and lecturers is a good strategy for getting the latest changes and updates made in the class or department.
Most students employ the use of social media to ease communication within themselves. For example; group mails, WhatsApp group, telegram, and Facebook.
Irrespective of student’s ambition, interest, and goal. The primary mission at higher intuitions is the same across board. To learn and be able to demonstrate learned knowledge. Above all, achieving academic excellence require student’s punctuality and attendance during lecturers.
The lecturer teaches better when you are present listening, taking notes, mulling things over in your head. Asking questions, occasionally nodding (when you understand.), and sometimes looking surprised, confused, or amused (as the situation warrants.). And yes, you may even look bored, if that’s how you’re feeling.

To validate this, students must love or have a desire for their chosen field of study. They get to appreciate the concepts learned as well as demonstrate what they learned in real-time instances.
For example; A 400 level student of Business Management can design, or recommend business strategies and human resources initiatives for his association. This proves his admiration for business start-ups and his potential leadership skills.
Only when students enjoy what they study, can they demonstrated what they have learned in real-life scenarios. Participating in class and group activities is a good practice.
In most instances, the lecturer does give points or some form of recognition for participation. Even-though he/she knows that some students contribute solely to earn the points.
Ask composed and well-structured questions. Share relevant experience. Respond to another student’s comment. Contributing and Voicing different perspective like these, makes the class interesting for the lecturer and everyone.

Sadly, only a few students understand how learning works, be it inside or out of the classroom environment. Students should question theories and concepts, and validate them where possible. For example; group presentation/projects are excellent avenues to measure team spirit, problem-solving skills, and understanding of learned concepts.
Alternative methods for contributions are by gaining and utilizing experiences. For example, you could get a pen-pal from a different country or institution and begin to share experience and lessons learned when taking a subject or solving a wide-spread problem.
Futhermore, students can engage practitioners, mentors, and professors in their chosen field, this helps to check all doubts, or misconceptions in such a field.
This will promote students to ask more sound and intellectual questions and research leading to innovative thinking and problem-solving.
