Badiru
Sulaimon
Badiru Sulaimon is the Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of SmartBukites. He co-founded the organization alongside SmartBukites’s current Chief Operations Officer (Kamaludeen Usman) with the vision to improve student academic performance and learning at Bayero University, Kano in 2018.
Interestingly, Badiru believes in the growth opportunities in student internships and self-taught activities, these motivated him to intern with organizations in the management consulting and telecommunications sector. He interned with KPMG Nigeria and Afrilight Technology as a Tech Intern, Engineering/Tech Intern. He is also the current Chief Operations Officer for Bookeyy.
Badiru is currently studying Telecommunication Engineering (4 th Year) at Bayero University, Kano, he also manages the Technical Department of SmartBukites and oversees other units of the organization. Ultimately, Badiru want to be a legacy entrepreneur; creating enabling environments to promote student learning and the applications of learned knowledge to increase economic and social values
Kamalludeen
Usman
Kamalluddeen Usman is the Chief Operations Officer and Co-founder of SmartBukites. In his journey to contributing to academic excellence at Bayero University, Kano began with him and co-founded SmartBukites alongside with the current Chief executive Officer.
Kamaluddeen envious SmartBukites to expand its scope to all programs at Bayero University, Kano University (irrespective of the level of tertiary education). He believes that the right support, materials, and resources should be made available to improve student learning, attitude to self-pace programs, use of technology, and creating social impact and change.
Kamaluddeen previously served as a Computer Technician and Network
Administrator at MicroManna Nigerian Limited and PAN Nigeria limited respectively. Kamalludeen is currently studying Computer Engineering (5 th Year) at Bayero University, Kano, he also manages the Operations Department of SmartBukites and oversees sub-units such as Copywriting and Social Media Team.
Kamaluddeen hopes to join academia upon attaining a Ph.D. in Computer
Engineering and stimulate interest in young minds to create technologies to ease learning and social spheres.
Muhammed
Abdullahi
Muhammed Musa Abdullahi is the Chief Academic Officer for SmartBukites, He oversees the production of content materials (Tutorials). He also manages the trustees and class representatives (from all operating facilities and departments).
Before joining SmartBukites, Muhammed has experience in technical and administrative positions. He interned with Radio Kano Maintenance Room (2014) and Jameel Electronics (2019) . Muhammed is currently a final year student of Electrical Engineering at Bayero University, Kano. He has a wealth experience in content development;
Similarly, Muhammed envisions his contribution to start-ups, student organizations and fast-paced workplaces to utilize design thinking for problem solving and co-creation modelling to tackle challenges.
Shreya
Sarker
Shreya Sarker is the Financial Analyst and the Acting Chief Procurement Officer at SmartBukites. As part of her career goals, she plans to become certified as a Telecommunication Engineer and a Financial Analyst. Her interest in education demonstrates her passion for self-taught paced learning and student-friendly applications and tools.
Sherya envisions SmartBukites to expand its programs to even more non academic activities; she theorized that even socio-economic factors may also affect student learning and mindsets. She is a 5th-year student of Telecommunication Engineering at Bayero University, Kano, She chairs the procurement department, manages programs and interventions at SmartBukites.
Sherya previously interned with Huawei Technologies Nigeria and Airtel Main Switching Center in Regional Quality management department and MSC department respectively
Abdulrasheed
Zubairu
Abdulrasheed Zubairu is the Chief Editor (Operations Department) at SmartBukites; he oversees the review of content (articles, tutorial materials, and videos) before publishing.
Abdulrasheed has a solid mechanical background; he interned with the Air force Institution of Technology and Nigerian College Aviation of Technology as an Intern-Machinist and Flight Maintenance Intern respectively. He is a final student of Mechatronics Engineering at Bayero University, Kano.
Upon completion of studies, Abdulrasheed plans to join the Nigeria Navy and contribute his quota to education and defense of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Olumayowa
Olukoya
Mayowa OluKoya is SmartBukites’ current SEO Specialist and a prominent team
player with the Technical Department. He also leads the content auditing exercises
application development, google adsense and routine web design and maintenance.
Mayowa holds a B.Sc Computer Science Technology from Babcock University, Nigeria (2020). He has a background in administrative and management consulting experiences having interned with Afrilight Technologies Limited in 2019.
Beyond SmartBukites, Mayowa sees the opportunities to expand into glandular web development, skills acquisition and mentoring, SEO analysis and App development to create products to drive social change using technology and ICT.
Rilwan
Sholanke
Rilwan Sholanke is the Content Developer and Team Lead for the Copywriting Unit
(Operations) at SmartBuKites.
Rilwan has a background in administrative and management consulting experiences.
He interned at Solina Centre for International Development and Research (SCIDaR)
(2018-2020).
As a Program Analyst for the Northern Nigeria Routine Immunization
Program (NNRISP), Rilwan supported six northern states (Bauchi, Borno, Kaduna, Kano, Sokoto, and Yobe) to improve immunization and maternal health coverage in Nigeria. Similarly, as an Administrative/Human Resources Analyst, Rilwan led thematic areas such as talent acquisition, training, research and development, procurement, and inventory.
He holds a B.Sc. Management Studies from Plateau State University, Bokkos (2017). In his journey to contribute to the education sector in Nigeria, He served as a Student Mentor for students in the Faculty of Management Sciences of Plateau State University. He mentors undergraduate students on research and career development programs. Ultimately, Rilwan plans to join academia and consult for educational startups/organizations. He plans to bridge the inequality gap in the educational ecosystem in Africa using technology and innovative models.
