Abstract
This report presents the experience gained during SIWES at the KEDCO INDUSTRIAL ZOO ROAD Kano which includes protection, control and metering (PC&M), cable jointing and electrical fitting.
Fault detection and protection of power transformers and electrical lines (L.T and H.T lines) are essential for smooth operation of the electrical power system. The equipment’s used in protecting the power transformers are circuit breakers, relays and fuses. The report gives an insight into the protection of power transformer and metering as well as cable jointing and electrical fitting carried out on the distribution of electrical power.
